A tour operator typically combines tour and travel components to create a package holiday. They advertise and produce brochures to promote their products, holidays and itineraries. A tour is traveling around from place to place, visiting a number of places in sequence, especially with an organized group led by a guide, while a safari, is usually a trip by tourists in Africa. In the past, the trip was often a big-game hunt, but today, safaris are often to observe and photograph wildlife, or hiking and sightseeing.
